“A Place You Can Count On”
TTCC’s 2024 - 2025 Annual Fund Drive Appeal Letter
As we gear up for the holiday season and start preparations for our 70th Santa’s Village – 3-day Christmas Extravaganza, we wanted to recap the past year and to provide a peek into the future as we send out our Annual Fund Appeal Letter, asking for your help to keep everything running smoothly.
One of our biggest accomplishments over the last year has been meeting our Strategic Planning Goals we laid out in March of 2022. We had three major goals we wanted to achieve by 2025 and we are so proud to report we have met all three of the goals with gusto. We will continue to provide a Place You Can Count On as we hope we can count on you for your support this year.
Our first strategic goal was to increase our budget, which reflects the increased needs of our community. We have achieved this goal with two very successful capital campaigns, a strong ’23-’24 annual fund campaign and the bringing in of over $2.6 Million in grant revenue through over two dozen different grants, which help with everything from operating costs to a new music program being offered in 2025.
Our second strategic goal was to have a safe and welcoming place for people to use and enjoy. We have accomplished this through a Million-dollar renovation and security installation project known as “A Safe Place to Call Home’, which was granted to us through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. We hope to hold a Ribbon Cutting ceremony in the coming months and to show the public our new offices, new gymnasium floor, an ADA accessway, and so much more, -we can’t wait to show you around and to share the space we have just created.
In the same vein of providing a safe place we have begun planning on a New Community Center to be built and received a $1,500,000 federal grant to make that dream a reality. We hope to hold public meetings soon to hear your ideas and input as we work in the next few years to find the additional resources to enact this project. We are asking for your help in growing to the next plateau. We are growing by leaps and bounds and want your input on what you’d like to see from the Community Center for the next hundred years.
Some of our shared success over the last 18 months includes our Every Child is Ours – Weekend Food Supplement program delivered 144 bags per week for the 2023- 2024 school year. Our Operation Warm Winter Clothing Program served 75 families in 2023-2024 and kept 136 kids warm and dry during the cold and wet winter months. And we held our 14th annual Westward Bound Teen Expedition Project this past August where we take a group of incoming freshmen on a Western Road Trip to help build leadership skills and memories as they approach their high school years ahead.
Our final goal was to create a comprehensive succession plan to ensure smooth leadership transition for our Staff & Board. Our Governance Committee has been actively meeting and working on updating all policies and procedures as we look to the future of the TTCC.
You help to make all of this possible. Your tax-deductible gift helps us to send a kid to summer camp, provide a meal for families over the weekend and to provide warm and dry clothing to those in need. You can make a donation ONLINE at anytime or by going to www.ttccrec.org on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd and following the links to donate. You can also mail in your donation to The Tapply-Thompson Community Center, 30 North Main Street, Bristol, NH, 03222. The TTCC is a 501©3 Non-profit and all donations are tax deductible!
Thank you so much for your support and have a Wonderful Holiday Season!
With gratitude, The Bristol Recreation Advisory Council and Staff.
