2023-2024 Annual Fund Drive

“A Safe Place to Call Home”

A community’s heart and soul is made up of all its people coming together for a common cause, helping each other through the day-to-day and being there when something is asked of us. The Tapply-Thompson Community Center (TTCC) has enjoyed unparalleled support at every step this past year as we work on our expansion efforts to continue meeting your various needs. We are asking you not just for your financial support at this time, but for your ideas, your suggestions and for what you would like to see included as we plan for a new Community Center to be built, while simultaneously upgrading our current Center at 30 North Main Street.

Our 2024 Annual Fund Campaign Drive is entitled “A Safe Place to Call Home”, as we have provided such a place for almost 80 years, with our current team led by Director, Les Dion and Assistant Director, Dan MacLean, who have both been with TTCC for over 20 years. Under their leadership, TTCC has grown to offer over 50 plus programs a year, with special events being essential pieces of our yearly calendar, including Santa’s Village which has been operating for almost seven decades now.

We do not do this work alone. The TTCC is successful because of the generosity and support of our area businesses, donors, and volunteers, who make our events and programs a celebrated part of our social fabric, lending warm sentiments and smiles along with financial support. With your unwavering commitment we have been able to achieve things together that include:

* Adding a fourth section of Summer Camp this year after facing a 60 person deep waiting list.

* Meeting two separate donor challenges for our current Capital Campaign, which will go towards our two building projects.

* Receiving several grant awards, which will be earmarked for things such as scholarships, security installations and our public benefit programs such as Every Child is Ours.

We embarked on this overall journey of growth a little over a year ago when we convened a Task Force to draw up our current 3-year Strategic Plan, which runs from May 1, 2022 to April 30th, 2025.Within this plan, we charted a course to provide a sufficient space for people to visit, an increase in our overall budget and to begin work on what the future TTCC would look like. In a little over a year, we have begun to meet or exceed those strategic goals, as we are asking for your help in writing our next chapter. Your Annual Fund support goes directly towards keeping our operations running smoothly, as we celebrate our collaboration in keeping community first.

You can make a donation by going to www.ttccrec.org or by filling in the fields above with your specific donation amount. The TTCC is a 501©3 Non-profit and all donations are tax deductible!

Thank you so much for your support!! Sincerely, TTCC!
